One of the most common words used in Argentina. The word basically means dumbass. However, among friends or acquaintances it's not so offensive. It's considered playful, and actually a very common greeting. "Che, boludo... a que hora es el partido?" Che, meaning friend and boludo implying that he is mentally challenged. So, it would be the equivalent of saying, "Hey, dumbass..what time does the game start?" to a friend. However, be careful calling someone a boludo that is not a friend or a stranger. Among friends you'll probably hear it used in almost every sentence.
